This will take you to the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) website, where you can listen to a live-streamed webcast of a symposium on Wind Turbines and Human Health.

The forum will provide an opportunity for NHMRC to hear the latest international scientific evidence and to engage with stakeholders over the range of issues for which there is public concern. The morning session will be streamed live via the NHMRC website from 8.45 a.m. until midday.

TREC Solarshare Matt Zipchen will be part of a panel  entitled "Ontario's Green Energy Act – Opportunities and Issues" on Monday, June 6th at 1:55pm.

 He will be discussing TREC's community power bond model as our methodology for raising capital to finance projects under the FIT program.

Religious institutions in Ontario and worldwide are adopting solar, writes Paul Gipe at wind-works.com:

One powerful advantage of feed-in tariff policies for developing renewable energy is that they permit the participation of people from all walks of life. You do not have to be Florida Power & Light to build a solar plant on your rooftop.

There's no better example of this than congregations who use feed-in tariff policy to fulfill their faith's injunction to protect creation by installing a solar photovoltaic (PV) system on or near their church, synagogue, or mosque.

Though the process is just getting underway in Ontario, where their sophisticated system of feed-in tariffs was implemented in the fall of 2009, several religious institutions have announced plans to build solar installations or have already done so.
